Get answers to common questions about Underarms.
Most clients enjoy smooth underarms for 3–6 weeks depending on hair growth and hormones. Results vary by individual, but regular waxing often leads to finer regrowth and longer intervals between appointments.
Waxing can cause temporary redness or sensitivity immediately after treatment but usually results in less irritation over time than daily shaving. We use calming pre- and post-wax care to soothe sensitive skin and reduce redness.
Allow hair to be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long for effective removal. Avoid heavy exfoliation or sun exposure 24-48 hours beforehand, arrive clean and dry, and skip deodorant so wax adheres properly.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, vigorous exercise, and fragranced products for 24 hours. Use soothing lotions or aloe, exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours, and wear loose clothing to minimize friction and promote healing.
Generally waxing is safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but increased sensitivity and hormonal changes can heighten discomfort. Inform your technician so we can adjust technique, use gentler wax, or perform a patch test.
Typically every 3–6 weeks depending on individual hair growth. New clients may need shorter intervals; consistent waxing often lengthens the time between sessions. Your technician will recommend a personalized schedule.
