Most clients see smooth results for three to six weeks depending on hair growth rate and aftercare. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and reduce density over time. Touch-ups recommended every four to six weeks for consistent results.
Most clients report brief, manageable discomfort rather than severe pain. We use skin-friendly wax, proper technique and tensioning, plus pre-cleanse and calming aftercare to minimize sensitivity. Numbing options are available by request for very sensitive skin.
Avoid heavy creams, retinoids, and sunburn before waxing. Let hair be at least 1/4 inch (about a week's growth). Exfoliate lightly 48 hours before and arrive with clean, dry skin to ensure optimal results.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy exercise and sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Use gentle cleanser, avoid exfoliation for 48 hours, and apply calming aloe or recommended antiseptic to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs. Wear loose collars for a day.
Waxing can occasionally lead to ingrown hairs. We reduce risk by exfoliating before treatments, using proper technique, and recommending regular gentle exfoliation plus moisturizing after healing. If ingrowns occur, we offer professional treatment and guidance to safely resolve them.
Clients with sunburn, open wounds, eczema, active skin infections, or those on acne medications like isotretinoin should avoid waxing. Pregnant clients or those with blood-clotting disorders should consult a doctor before treatment. Call us to discuss concerns prior to booking.
